This is your one stop for all things Shutter Gourmet Dive Tour!
Q: What is a Shutter Gourmet Dive Tour?
A: Glad ya’ asked. For a bit now, a merry band of amateur photographers have been congregating over at www.shrewshutters.wordpress.com. Amid the regulars are a few blog authors including: the author of http://musicmaven.wordpress.com/ , a terrific music essay blog and the author of http://blog.masslive.com/valleyvictuals/, a foodie haven to be sure. One crazy day, the gang decided we should all meet up and shoot together, but music and food would also have to be a central part of the experience…and then the Shutter Gourmet Dive Tour was born.
Currently, we are planning our large photo summit in Newport, RI for August 2008. However, all you need to have a satellite Shutter Gourmet Dive Tour Event is 4 things:
- More than Two Shrew’s Daily Shutter Readers
- A great meal where you plan your shoot
- A playlist of appropriate tunes
- A well thought out photo shoot plan
Periodically, we shall be posting pertinent logistical information for the Newport RI trip, as well as groovy tidbits to read/experience regarding our destination.
Look here for:
- Directions
- Itineraries
- Conversations about Itineraries
- Reading lists
- Music posts
- Recipes
And so much more.

Nice choice of theme, if I may say so myself.

Oooh! So excited!
One of these days I’ll tell you about my Newport experience…and why Zan refuses to ever take me there again! Suffice it to say, one should never attempt to drive to Newport-on a whim-on a Saturday-in August-with no reservations-with a three month old baby in the car.
